New Franchise Owner Through Franchise Empire
After 35 years in banking, most recently as a Chief Marketing Officer and Senior VP, Kurt was ready for something new. He and his wife, Julia, had just moved from Iowa to Boston to be closer to family, and he wasn’t looking to go back to the corporate grind.
Kurt wanted a business he could be hands-on with, something fast-paced, customer-focused, and built around quality. After exploring multiple opportunities, his love for cars, mechanical mindset, and connection to the mission made an aviation detailing franchise the perfect fit for him.
He and Julia are now the proud owners of one territory in Massachusetts and are jumping into this next chapter with energy and purpose.
Laura, his broker at Franchise Empire, shared: “Kurt brought a clear vision, strong instincts, and real passion to the process. I’m excited to see what he and Julia build together.”
Congrats on starting this new journey, Kurt!
Franchise of the Week

Description & History:
Back in 1958, college brothers Dan and Frank Carney borrowed $600 from their mom to open a small pizza shop in Wichita, Kansas. The sign above their door only had space for eight letters, so “Pizza Hut” was born.
They started small, but people loved the pizza. Within a year, they began franchising, and by 1966, there were more than 140 Pizza Huts across the U.S. What began as a single storefront quickly turned into a nationwide sensation.
Over the decades, Pizza Hut became known for its creativity. In 1995, they launched the legendary Stuffed Crust Pizza, and the campaign featured none other than Donald Trump. Then, in 2001, they made history again by delivering the first pizza to space. It was vacuum-sealed, extra seasoned for zero gravity, and sent to the International Space Station with the Russian Space Agency.
Today, Pizza Hut operates in over 110 countries and remains one of the largest pizza chains in the world. From a $600 loan to a slice of space history, it’s a brand built on innovation, nostalgia, and a love of pizza that’s out of this world. So what would it look like to open one of your own?👇
