When I went to buy my very first franchise, I thought I was approaching the process logically.
Here’s how it went in my head…
“I’ve had 9 businesses that failed that I tried to start on my own. So going the franchise route with a proven system will probably give me a higher likelihood of success.”
Ok, the logic checks out so far.
“What type of business should I start?”
“Well, since I’m going to keep my job and I’m busy- it should be something I’m passionate about”
The logic is starting to break down here…
“I KNOW! Since we make juices and smoothies at home a lot, let’s do a juice and smoothie franchise.”
:Logic has left the chat:
My goal was to replace my income and leave corporate within 3 years.
What would’ve made the most sense was to work backwards from there…not get all excited about opening a juice and smoothie bar, NOT knowing what the profit potential would be.
My point?
The more you can remove emotion from this process of buying and launching your business, and just look at the facts and numbers…
The higher likelihood you will crush it, and build an awesome business you love.

Right at Home is one of the franchise leaders in the senior care industry. It’s difficult to find territory that is open, especially a resale opportunity that has been around since 2014. Owners will need to be compassionate about this space and comfortable managing a larger-sized team.
According to the Right at Home 2023 FDD, the Average Net Billings for 350 office locations open at least one year was $1.44M in 2022. Clearly, this is a scalable opportunity with recurring revenue element to the business.

Mr. Rooter has upfront pricing and never charges overtime. They also have 24/7 services for emergencies that pop up after hours. The franchise owner will not be a plumber, but instead hire and manage the team.
